Makapu’u Point Lighthouse

Makapu’u Point is a beautiful and easy hiking trail. This area is worth the hike as it’s full of stunning scenery. You can even see the island of Molokai and Manana island in the distance. Makapu’u Point is located near Sea Life Park Hawaii.

A paved trail leads to the lookout which has a great view of Rabbit Island and has great views of the ocean. Thee area also has several tide pools. It’s important to avoid venturing out past the tide pools for your own safety.

While the area is certainly a great spot for couple photo shoots, there are no restrooms on the trail. Restrooms are available on the Makapu’u beach, so be sure to be dressed for your engagement photo shoot before following the trail and bring supplies to freshen up and retouch your makeup. It’s a good idea to start with sandy beach shots and then venture off on the trail during the latter part of your Hawaii engagement photography session.

The area is simply stunning at nighttime, providing your wedding photographer with plenty of opportunities to take amazing couple portraits. This area is definitely one of the best locations on Oahu for your engagement photography.
